Quick Penetrant T (Fast T-50) is a high-concentration anionic surfactant solution. It should be stirred thoroughly before use and diluted within the recommended dosage range according to the specific application scenario. The specific dosage varies by industry process, typically between 0.05% and 2%.
Detailed Description
Quick Penetrant T (Fast T-50) has an active content ≥50%. It is a colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid. It is easily soluble in water. It is recommended to pre-dilute with warm water or process water to an intermediate concentration of 10%~20% before adding to the working system to ensure uniform dispersion and achieve optimal penetration performance. This product has excellent chemical stability, resistant to acids, alkalis, and hard water, and can be used under a wide range of pH and electrolyte conditions, offering strong operational flexibility.
The product exhibits outstanding rapid penetration capability — in a 0.5% aqueous solution, the canvas sedimentation test shows penetration time ≤5 seconds. Therefore, in practical applications, a high dosage is usually not required to achieve ideal wetting and spreading effects. At the same time, this product is a low-foaming surfactant, which is less likely to generate foam interference under high-speed stirring or circulation spraying conditions, making it particularly suitable for continuous industrial production processes.

Application Recommendations
Note: The following recommended dosages are general industry experience values. Specific dosages should be determined through trial based on the actual formulation and process conditions. The Guoli Chemical product database does not currently include precise dosage data for each application field.
Usage Methods and Recommended Dosages for Various Application Fields
1. Textile Dyeing and Finishing Auxiliaries
- Pretreatment (Desizing, Scouring, Bleaching): Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.5% of the working liquor. During desizing or scouring, add the pre-diluted Fast T-50 to the desizing or scouring solution to accelerate the penetration of alkali into the fibers, improving the removal of sizing agents and impurities.
- Dyeing Process: Recommended dosage is 0.05%~0.3% of the total dye liquor. Add during the preparation of the dye liquor to reduce the surface tension of the dye bath, promote uniform diffusion of dye into the fibers, and effectively prevent uneven dyeing and color spots.
- Finishing (Softening, Water Repellent, Flame Retardant Finishing): Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.5% of the finishing liquor, helping the finishing agent penetrate evenly into the fabric and enhance the durability of the finishing effect.
2. Pesticide Formulations
- Liquid Pesticide Formulations (EC, EW, SC, SL, etc.): Recommended dosage is 1%~5% of the total formulation. Add together with other auxiliaries during the blending stage and stir evenly.
- Tank-Mix Enhancement (Ready-to-Use): When used as a spray adjuvant, add 0.02%~0.1% to the diluted spray solution (approximately 20 to 100 grams of Fast T-50 per 100 liters of water). This significantly improves the spreading, adhesion, and penetration of the spray liquid on hydrophobic leaves and target surfaces.
3. Emulsion Polymerization
- As an anionic primary emulsifier or co-emulsifier, the recommended dosage is 0.5%~3% of the total monomer weight. Typically, dissolve Fast T-50 in deionized water during the pre-emulsification stage, then mix with monomers and perform high-speed shear emulsification to obtain a pre-emulsion with uniform particle size and stable storage, which is then polymerized to produce synthetic latex with excellent performance.
4. Leather Processing
- Soaking/Rewetting Process: Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.3% of the water volume, which accelerates the penetration of water and chemicals into the leather fibers, shortening soaking time.
- Degreasing Process: Recommended dosage is 0.3%~0.5%, used in conjunction with degreasing agents to improve oil emulsification and dispersion.
5. Paper Industry
- Internal Addition: Recommended dosage is 0.05%~0.2% of the absolute dry pulp, enhancing uniform penetration and retention of sizing agents and fillers.
- Surface Coating: Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.3% of the total coating solution, improving the uniformity of coating spreading and adhesion to the paper base.
Precautions
- Pre-dilution: Fast T-50 is a high-viscosity liquid; direct addition may cause uneven dispersion. It is recommended to dilute with process water to 10%~20% before adding to the working system.
- Personal Protection: The product is a skin irritant and eye irritant (GHS Category 2/2A). Wear impermeable gloves, chemical safety goggles, and protective clothing during operation. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, keeping the container sealed. The product is hygroscopic; use promptly after opening and re-seal.
- Environmental Discharge: The product is harmful to aquatic organisms. Do not discharge untreated waste liquid containing this product into natural water bodies. Establish a residual liquid recovery or wastewater treatment system in the production process.
- Compatibility Verification: Before compounding with other auxiliaries or chemicals, it is recommended to conduct small-scale compatibility tests to confirm no precipitation, layering, or stability issues before batch application.
