Rapid Penetrating T (Fast T-50) should be stored sealed in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place; it remains stable at room temperature; the shelf life is typically 12 months (under original sealed conditions), subject to the factory quality inspection report.

Detailed Description

Rapid Penetrating T (Fast T-50) is a chemically stable anionic surfactant that is not prone to hydrolysis or deterioration under normal storage conditions. However, due to its high active content (≥50%) and hygroscopic nature, container sealing is the key factor affecting storage life. Improper sealing leading to moisture ingress or solvent evaporation may cause product stratification, viscosity changes, or reduction of active ingredients, thereby affecting penetration performance and emulsification effects.

In the product database, Guoli Chemical has not yet listed a specific shelf life number. The industry convention for such sulfosuccinate sodium salt surfactants is: under original unopened conditions, the quality is most stable within 12 months from the production date. After opening, it is recommended to use within 6 months, and the container must be resealed immediately after each withdrawal to reduce contact time with air and moisture.

If the product exceeds the recommended storage period, it is recommended to sample and test key indicators (such as penetration power, pH value, solid content, and appearance) before use, and continue use only after confirming no abnormalities.

Application Recommendations

Whether used in textile dyeing, pesticide formulations, or emulsion polymerization, the stability of the product's active ingredients directly affects process performance. It is recommended to adopt a "first-in, first-out" inventory rotation principle and record the opening date of each batch. For users with IBC tote packaging, if the material is dispensed, the remaining material should be transferred to a small-diameter dispensing container and the lid tightly sealed to avoid leaving headspace air in the large container for a long time.

Precautions

  • Away from incompatible substances: Avoid contact with strong oxidizers and strong acids during storage to prevent chemical reactions that may cause product failure.
  • Away from fire and heat sources: Although the flash point is relatively high (>100 °C), it should still be kept away from open flames and high-temperature equipment.
  • Spill emergency preparedness: The storage area should be equipped with inert absorbent materials (such as sand, vermiculite) to deal with accidental spills. Spilled material must be placed in a sealed container and disposed of according to regulations; it is strictly forbidden to discharge into drains.
  • Environmental control: This product is harmful to aquatic life (H402). The storage area must have dikes or spill containment facilities to prevent waste liquid from directly entering environmental waters.
