Peregal O-50/100 (fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether) is a non-ionic surfactant with relatively stable chemical properties. However, to ensure its product performance and service life, standardized storage management requirements still need to be followed. At room temperature, this product is a waxy or flaky solid. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight may cause color darkening, moisture absorption and caking, and even slow oxidative degradation of the polyoxyethylene chain, thereby affecting its emulsifying, dispersing, and other application properties.
During storage, containers should be kept tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and foreign matter ingress. Peregal O-50 requires special attention to moisture protection, as it disperses in cold water and moisture absorption may cause material caking, increasing the difficulty of subsequent dissolution. In addition, this product should be kept away from incompatible substances such as strong oxidants, strong acids, and strong alkalis to avoid chemical reactions that may cause product deterioration or safety hazards.
In warehouse management, this product should be stored strictly segregated from food, beverages, and animal feed, and the integrity of packaging should be regularly checked, with any damage promptly addressed. Empty containers may contain product vapors or trace residues and should not be used for holding food or feed. Warning labels must be retained and disposal should follow chemical waste regulations.
| Storage Condition | Specific Requirements |
|---|---|
| Storage Environment | Cool, dry, well-ventilated dedicated warehouse |
| Temperature Control | Recommended not exceeding 40°C |
| Lighting Requirement | Avoid direct sunlight |
| Humidity Requirement | Avoid humid environment, keep dry |
| Container Condition | Keep tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption and leakage |
| Keep Away From | Incompatible substances such as strong oxidants, strong acids, strong alkalis |
| Segregation Requirement | Keep away from food, beverage, and animal feed storage areas |
| Packaging Inspection | Regularly check packaging integrity to prevent leakage |
If the product develops slight moisture absorption and caking due to improper storage, it usually does not affect its chemical properties; the material can be crushed and used according to normal dissolution procedures. It is recommended to slowly add the product into hot water at 40~60°C with continuous stirring until completely dissolved. For opened but unused product, immediately reseal the packaging and prioritize its use to reduce exposure time to air and moisture.
