Low molecular weight PPG (such as PPG-200/400) has low viscosity, relatively higher volatility and hygroscopicity, while ultra-high molecular weight PPG (such as PPG-2000 and above) has enhanced thickening and lubrication effects but reduced water solubility and ease of operation.
